There are many films franchises that have produced long-running movies. Some of these include James Bond, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the Planet of the Apes, with each producing more than 30 films. Other franchises can be very long-lasting, such the Harry Potter series that has produced more 500 books. Which franchise has produced more films than any other? Below is a list of some of the longest movie series.

James Bond

Thunderball is the fifth James Bond movie and marks the return for SPECTRE. Emilio Largo, who was a spy in the past, is now the Number Two of the organization. Largo plots to steal nuclear weapons from NATO, and then hold the world hostage. James Bond goes undercover to stop Largo from stealing nuclear weapons from NATO and holding the world hostage.

Marvel Cinematic Universe

The Marvel Cinematic Universe currently has more than 25 movies. The shortest movie is Thor: The Dark World which runs less than two hours. Avengers: Infinity War clocks in at just three hours and two seconds. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol., however, is a shorter movie in the series. 2 and Doctor Strange. Planet of the Apes

The Planet Of The Apes' first movie is one of the bloodiest. It is especially dark and sad, with a hint despair. The movie was remade in 1973 with a softer ending that posited more compassion among the apes. The original film featured former slaves who swore to humiliate their human masters. This ending was reintroduced by Battle for the Planet of the Apes.


X-Men

The X-Men are a legendary team of mutant superheroes. Multiple mutants have different powers, which is why the X-Men include multiple members. Other members of The Brotherhood include Sabretooth, who has healing powers and a pair of Adamantium claws.

Transformers

The Transformers movie franchise is comprised of six live-action films that have been released by Paramount Pictures over the last decade. Numerous toys, comic books and other merchandise have been made from the films. The movies are arranged chronologically, but they have different timelines which build on each other. The main series has been divided into two branches, each of which focuses on a different character or a specific plot element.
